Farmers · How Shri Sahaj works

Rules choose the crops. Science checks them. You confirm.

Every option passes five steps before it reaches your screen. Nothing is guessed, and nothing is final until your soil is tested.

The five steps

From pin code to plan.

  1. 1

    Locate

Your pin code is placed in its district and zone, with the rainfall and soil pattern of that zone.

  2. 2

    Exclude

Hard rules drop what cannot work: the wrong season, too little water, a soil type the pair does not suit, a zone where it is not recorded.

  3. 3

    Rank

What is left is scored on the grade of evidence and on how well it fits your goal: income, soil, risk or fodder.

  4. 4

    Compose

For the top options, rows, plants and a seed range are worked out for your exact plot, after leaving a border.

  5. 5

    Confirm

A soil test and an agronomist's review turn an indication into a recommendation. Only then does the protocol begin.

How sure are we?

Four levels of confidence, always shown.

The page tells you which level you are at, so an indication is never mistaken for advice.

Level 1

Zone-level indication

  • From your pin code alone
  • Good for an idea, not for sowing
Level 2

Field-informed indication

  • Adds your water, soil colour and goal
  • What this calculator gives
Level 3

Soil-informed indication

  • Adds your Soil Health Card or lab report
  • Nutrient and pH aware
Level 4

BhoomiSeva protocol (final)

  • After a soil test and agronomist review
  • The only level that is a recommendation

Evidence badges

Every pair shows how well it is backed.

A

Recommended by research

Listed by ICAR or a state agricultural university for the zone.

B

Research-backed

Supported by published trials, with a narrower or older evidence base.

T

Ancestral practice

Long used by farmers in the zone. Shown honestly as practice, then checked by the panel.

Pairs that need review, such as vegetables between sugarcane rows, are marked Conditional and ranked lower until an agronomist clears them.

Who stands behind it

Software suggests. People are accountable.

The calculator applies rules that experts have signed. AI, where it is used, only explains the result in your language. It never decides the crops.

  • WarkemKnowledge partner and co-developer. Helps build and sign off the system library and each rule version.
  • Scientific ContributorsHarit Kranti 2.0 agronomists review the soil test and give the final advice for your farm.
  • BhoomiSevaRuns the platform, the soil tests at the Kendras and the field feedback that improves the rules each season.

Roadmap

Built to grow state by state.

  1. Now

    Demo calculator, Maharashtra

13 illustrative systems across four zones, in English, Marathi and Hindi.

  2. Next

    Library sign-off with Warkem

Every system, ratio and evidence grade reviewed by the panel and cited.

  3. Planned

    Kharif 2027 launch

All Maharashtra zones, with the Konkan rice-based library to follow.

  4. Later

    WhatsApp assistant and more states

The same engine on BhoomiSathi, then pan-India libraries state by state.

Indicative, not finalThese options are indicative. They are based on your area's climate, common soil types and published agricultural research, not on a test of your own field. Before you sow or buy inputs, Harit Kranti 2.0 Scientific Contributors and BhoomiSeva agronomists will study your soil test and field conditions and give you a final, farm-specific recommendation.
