Why it is bankable
Risk is designed out at every step.
Farm lending usually fails on three things: money used for something else, a price crash at harvest, and a crop loss. The loop answers each one before the seed goes in.
Money tied to the protocol
Finance is paid straight to the protocol and delivered in stages at the Kendra. The farmer never receives loose cash.
Price agreed before sowing
Buyback at mandi +10% and more is fixed before the season, so the farmer knows his income before he sows.
Repaid at source
Fresh-vegetable farms repay a small instalment every week from their weekly payment; oilseed and other branded-product crops repay from the buyback at harvest. Either way the lender is paid before the balance reaches the farmer.
Crop and family insured
Crop and family insurance through DigiSafe, underwritten by Bajaj General, is arranged for the season.
Demand booked in advance
Families book before sowing: fresh baskets are blocked a quarter at a time, and oil and other branded-product baskets are held for up to 9 months through KAMALO.
